History
In 1921 Carlo Nada, son of a sharecropper, bought a 25-hectare Treiso estate — including a big slice of the Rombone vineyard — from his employer. For years the family, short of resources, sold its sought-after grapes rather than making wine.
By 1982 Bruno Nada had persuaded his father to change course: they equipped a cellar and began bottling under the Nada Fiorenzo label, starting with Rombone. The Nadas are still the largest owner of that cru.
The estate, now with fourth-generation Danilo Nada, focuses on lower yields and higher quality, built around Barbaresco from Rombone.
