The Tessari family has grown grapes since about 1800; the estate is named for the ancestor Stefano, nicknamed Stefanino.

In 2003 the young oenologist Francesco Tessari formally founded I Stefanini using the family vineyards.

Francesco makes the wines with his father Valentino, who manages the vineyards.
