History
Guerrieri Rizzardi was born in 1913 from the union of two noble Veronese families: the Counts Guerrieri, landowners in Bardolino since the 15th century, and the Counts Rizzardi, in Valpolicella since 1649. The name was created when Carlo Rizzardi married Giuseppina Guerrieri, and the first labelled vintage followed in 1914.
From the 1950s Antonio Rizzardi developed the estates, adding a Soave property in the 1970s; a new solar-powered, carbon-neutral winery opened on the Bardolino hills in 2011.
The family holdings now exceed 100 hectares across Bardolino, Valpolicella and Soave, some in the family for centuries.
