History
The Materossi family's Monte Cicogna dates to 1908, when Pietro Materossi began making wine on the Brescian shore of Lake Garda; in 1920 his sons Luigi and Alessandro acquired the Monte Cicogna estate at Moniga del Garda and made its first vinifications.
More than a century on, the fourth generation — Maria Grazia, Alessandro, Luigi, Chiara and Cesare — runs the estate in the Valtenesi, making the area's typical wines: the native Groppello red, Chiaretto rose and Metodo Classico sparkling under the Riviera del Garda Classico denomination.
