History
The Molettieri family grew Aglianico at Montemarano for more than a century; Salvatore founded his estate in 1983 after the Aglianico grape market collapsed following the 1979 Irpinia earthquake.
His wines won the Montemarano wine festival in 1985-88; he began bottling with the Taurasi Riserva 1988.
The 'Cinque Querce' vineyard is his signature; Salvatore works alongside his four sons Giovanni, Giuseppe, Luigi and Paolo.
