History
In 2001 Marilisa Allegrini and her brother Walter, of the noted Valpolicella Amarone family, extended into Bolgheri, assembling about 70 hectares and naming the estate Poggio al Tesoro ('hill of treasure').
After Walter's death in 2003 Marilisa continued alone, dedicating a 100% Cabernet Franc, 'Dedicato a Walter', to his memory.
'Sondraia' is the estate's Bordeaux-blend flagship.
