History

The Morgante family grew grapes at Grotte for five generations; in 1989 Antonio Morgante, with sons Carmelo and Giovanni, began vinifying their own Nero d'Avola.

From 1997 the oenologist Riccardo Cotarella joined as consultant, refining the wines.

The premium 'Don Antonio' Riserva is named in honour of Antonio Morgante.
